| Speeding, what is there to say about this subject in general? Lord knows that everyone loves a little speed. You are in your car on a sunny, warm day, music is turned up to a song that you love and you find yourself pressing down on the gas pedal. The next thing you know, out of no where come the flashing lights of the police. That kind of thing happens often to many people in the world in this day and age. We are a race of people who love speed. Race...that is the key word here. Mankind has become so obsessed with time that it is exactly that...a race to get to wherever it is that they have to go. This is basically an overview of the series of articles on speeding and i just wanted to let you know what it is that you have in store for you. This series of articles cover speeding laws, demerit points, speeding tickets, speeding offense and also how to beat a speeding ticket. Here, in the following paragraphs is just a run down of what you will be reading once you decide to check out the other articles. On Speeding laws: Most traffic laws are different than they were years ago and they may differ from country to country, state to state or province to province. There is a big a difference also between using vehicle without a valid operator's licence, and operating a vehicle without a valid drivers license, these two are somewhat different. Also, remember that the operating of a vehicle without proof of a license is against the law, so always carry your license with you. On Demerit points: Demerit points are like a penalty that is recorded on a person's record when they break certain traffic laws. These points will range normally from between one to ten points for an offence. This depends upon where you reside. When you get your learner's permit or as it is known in Canada your three sixty five, you start with zero points on your license. This is a good thing, you want to keep it that way. These points will then add up if you accidentally break a traffic rule that uses demerit points as a punishment. In some cases a ticket might be issued along with the demerit points. On Speeding offences: Failing to stop after an accident, failure to report an accident, refusing a roadside breath test, in charge with excess alcohol after being in charge with excess alcohol refusing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving under the influence, speeding (non-motorway) and speeding (motorway) are all examples of offenses that can land you either with a fine, in court or in jail. One of penalties mentioned for a speeding offense is what is called a fixed penalty notice. These are normally dealt with by taking three penalty points and issuing a fine for however much is deemed fit in the area where you live. Here is hoping that you have found this information about speeding, speeding offences and the other fun stuff interesting.
