ticket fines

There are several different reasons why tickets are issued that have fines attached to
them and the fines aren't always the same amount. The ticket fines and the charges vary
from one area to another. Just as the laws might be somewhat different in one state to
another in the United States, they could be different in another part of the world.

Ticket fines usually have to be paid by a certain date from the time that the ticket is
issued for whatever reason. If the ticket fine isn't paid then the individual
essentially has to appear in court to contest the fine and the ticket or to make
arrangements to pay the fine on a financially set basis. However, the judge has got to
agree to the ticket fines and the payment option.

In most cases however if an individual is issued a citation or a warning there is no fine to
be concerned about and nothing to be paid. Ticket fines can also vary as far as the
criminal intent if there is any that should be applied to the ticket.

Most non-moving violations, which result in a ticket, don't carry a large fine unless the
individual has repeatedly received a ticket for the same thing. For example parking
tickets for parking in a no parking zone can become very expensive if the individual
ignores the ticket fines and does not pay them. In addition to these individuals ignoring
the tickets and the fines initially can result in warrants or suspension of a license
although this is a more drastic measure that would be taken.

There are those people who feel they have received a ticket and decide it is in their best
interest to contest the ticket and not have to pay the fine. If this is the situation, the
individual goes to the court date found on the ticket usually, and then fights the concept
or reason for the ticket. If the individual is found to be right; which in some instances
this does happen, then the ticket is basically cleared or taken off of the individual's
driving record and the fine does not have to be paid. Depending on where the location is
however there could be court costs or additional fees.

As stated above ticket fines can vary dramatically as far as amount. For example,
speeding tickets will definitely carry higher fines that those that are simply failing
to yield at a stop sign or parking in front of a fire hydrant. Just as running a red light will
not be the same in the ticket and the amount of a fine as not paying parking tickets.

According to experts however, the highest ticket fine that is found in many states now is
not wearing a seatbelt. The fine and consequences for receiving this type of ticket is
steep and the ticket is considered to have no criminal intent. However, the driver is
considered unsafe and therefore the law and the fine are upheld.
